Flying Flea C6: There’s some fantastic news if you’re among those who adore the iconic design of the Royal Enfield Bullet but feel that it’s time to switch to an electric motorcycle. Recently, the undisguised Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6 was seen testing on Chennai’s streets.

This makes it quite evident that the business is getting close to launching it. To be honest, this bike is meant for people who seek both futuristic technology and retro appearance.

A Design Rooted in History

The design of the Flying Flea C6 is inspired by the popular “Flying Flea” motorcycle used during World War II. This motorcycle was used during that time by being dropped from an aeroplane via a parachute. Today, this electric bike has the same lightweight and traditional look.

The bike has a traditional-looking round LED lamp that gives one a sense of nostalgia. However, this is completely new in the field. The girder forks on the front make this bike unique from the rest. The design of the body is simple and gives it a sleek look. Large alloy wheels and a belt drive on the right side make this different from petrol bikes.

Ready for everyday use

During testing, a significant change was observed. This time, the bike has a strong main stand, which Indian buyers would find very helpful. It has maintained an upright and comfortable riding position, preventing tiredness even over extended distances.

The pillion seat is now detachable and compact. The pillion seat may be removed to give it a bobber-style appearance if you would rather go alone. Young folks may find this style to be quite appealing.

Battery and Range

It is anticipated that its performance will be similar to that of a 250cc to 350cc petrol bike, even if the company has not yet disclosed all technical details. The battery pack is probably between 4 and 5 kWh.

This bike has a range of 100 to 150 kilometres under normal circumstances. LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) battery cells, which are thought to be safer and more durable, will be used. The battery will be kept cool by an active thermal management system. Because the complete system will be IP67 rated, it will function smoothly even in wet and rainy conditions.

Smart Technology Support

Royal Enfield has integrated the concept of smart features with the traditional look of the bike. It has a round, fully digital display console with Bluetooth connectivity.

The features that the rider can enjoy on the bike include turn-by-turn navigation, call and message notifications, and music control. Other features that the bike offers include keyless ignition, which means that the bike does not require a key. Disc brakes with dual-channel ABS will be fitted on both wheels.

Performance and Riding Experience

The motor is also known for its instant torque, making this bike very agile in city traffic. Its lightweight design and balanced frame also make it convenient to use in daily life. The bike is also expected to have good highway stability. Since this is Royal Enfield’s first attempt at making an electric bike, they have ensured that it is durable.
