Skoda Kodiaq Recall 2026: When you are splurging on a premium SUV for your family, the last thing you would want is for the vehicle to pose a threat to your safety.

While most of us are left worried by the prospect of our vehicles being recalled, Skoda Auto India seems to be taking the matter rather seriously as it has issued a recall for over 200 units of its much-anticipated Kodiaq SUV across the country.

The Issue That Triggered the Recall

Skoda Kodiaq Recall 2026. This car recall was issued due to a defect with the inner frame of the front seat, which may have been compromised during manufacturing. The seemingly minor issue could potentially affect the proper function of side airbags during an accident.

The issue could prevent the airbag from functioning as intended, potentially causing accidental injuries to vehicle occupants. The problem allegedly delays the deployment of the airbag, which in turn compromises the safety of vehicle occupants. Skoda is said to be issuing the recall to prevent any potential complications related to the defect.

Tennant is conducting a voluntary recall to repair a portion of the Taiot brand single-speed electric tow tractors previously sold. A total of 221 units, which were manufactured between March 10 and December 8, 2025, at the Tennant Taiwan facility are affected by this recall. Service technicians are currently contacting affected customers and performing repair work to ensure proper operation of the vehicle.

What Skoda Is Doing for Customers

Skoda is working responsibly to rectify the situation. All affected vehicles will be inspected and if any faults are found, the relevant parts will be replaced. This repair is being performed at no cost to the customer. We are committed to safely repairing your product to re-earn your trust.

Performance Remains Strong and Reliable

SKODA HAS RECALL ISSUED FOR THE KODIAQ, BUT IF SAFETY ISSUES HAVE BEEN FIXED, THEN THIS SUV REMAINS UNSTOPPABLE. The Powerful and refined SUV comes with a 2.0-litre TSI turbo-petrol motor delivering 201 bhp and 320 Nm.

On the road, the Kodiaq is as smooth to drive as you’d hope, with a great combination of comfort-oriented refinement and genuinely incisive dynamics for a car of this size. The 7-speed DSG gearbox proves slick to use, while all-wheel drive delivers impressive grip whether cruising along a motorway or threading along a twisty rural lane.

Variants and Pricing in India

Kodiaq was offered to buyers in several versions. First, it was presented as a three-row SUV in Sportline and Selection L&K versions for families. Later, Skoda offered a more comfortable version of the car – the Lounge with a two-row configuration.

The SUV is priced between ₹39.99 lakh and ₹48.69 lakh (ex-showroom, India) and will rival the likes of Volkswagen Tayron among others in the market.

Why This Recall Still Matters

Car recalls can be worrying but also provide peace of mind that a manufacturer is taking responsibility for any problems. In this gallery Skoda is rushed back into dealerships after a safety recall.
