Triumph Uses Smart GST Strategy to Keep Pricing Competitive
The company downsized the engine of the motorcycle to 349cc and thus placed it in the lower 18 per cent GST bracket, rather than the much higher bracket of those with engines exceeding 350 cc.

For this purpose, Triumph reduced the length of the stroke, but retained the same bore. This change helped to lighten the taxation of the engine, and also gave it greater responsiveness and vitality when ridden aggressively.
