The new Norton Manx R Superbike is all kinds of awesome, and now the Indian TVS Motor Company has finally revealed the bike, which is a more aggressive, heavier, and higher-end version of the Norton Familia Roof. The Manx R isn’t just another high-speed superbike. It has been built to be both exciting on the road and with the spirit of a race machine.
In contrast to many modern superbikes, focusing solely on the end-of-the-stick power of a few dashy top-hungry engines, Norton has gone a different route with the Manx R, taking it to a more mid-range engine and more fun-to-ride style. The outcome is a motorcycle that’s powerful, passionate, and surprisingly street legal.
The Norton Manx R is a powerful yet refined look
The Norton Manx R Superbike is immediately noticeable due to its design. It also sports a sleek and streamlined design with a nod to Norton’s long history. The motorcycle incorporates the latest superbike style into a handcrafted detail to create a very high-end identity.

The overall mechanical treatment of the bodywork gives it a muscular look from all angles and the parts that are visible offer a raw and purposeful appearance. Norton has clearly given a lot of attention to making the bike special, both in terms of performance and looks.
The superbike, in all forms of the Manx R is fitted with high performance Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP V4 tyres that take the sporty look and road grip to the next level.
The four Variants offer different characters
The Manx R version is divided into four versions by Norton to suit different riders. Starting at the bottom of the line is the base level model, which features cast aluminum wheels and manually adjustable Marzocchi suspension.
The Apex version brings the fun up a notch with forged aluminum wheels and electronic suspension. For the more adventurous, there is the Signature version, standard with very light Rotobox Bullet Pro carbon-fibre wheels.
The top is the First Edition model, which will be sold worldwide in limited quantities of 150. This version is the lightest in all the series and this special accessory pack makes it even more exclusive.
1200cc V4 Engine Delivers Brutal Yet Usable Power
The centrepiece of the Norton Manx R is its mighty 1,200cc 72-degree V4 engine. The impressive power output of this motor is 206 bhp at 11,500 rpm and 130 Nm of torque at 9,000 rpm.
The power figure isn’t special about this engine, it is the manner in which the power is delivered. Norton has modified the firing order to achieve a more muscular and deeper tone, which is more akin to the mid-range of a V-twin. This configuration offers better acceleration for normal riding speeds as opposed to a rider having to constantly grind for high RPMs.
The bike is quite explosive when it’s ridden at full gas but easier and more enjoyable to handle when it’s used to its full potential on the road. The combination of the pace at which this car is built and its functionality might be its biggest asset.
Lightweight Construction Improves Handling
Norton has been very conscious of weight reduction throughout the range. The company has been able to achieve a substantial weight gap between variants using carbon-fibre parts and lighter materials.
The First Edition model has a no-fuel weight of approximately 201 kg which is almost 9 kg less than the base version. This lower weight will make the bike more responsive and sharper in corners and aggressive riding.
The handcrafted chassis is also a testament to Norton’s engineering legacy, lending the motorcycle a distinctive feel of premium quality that a lot of mass-produced superbikes may not have.
Massive TFT Display and Advanced Electronics
The Manx R comes equipped with one of the largest displays seen in the superbike segment. It houses the advanced electronics package of the motorcycle, which is controlled by its large 8-inch TFT display.
The superbike incorporates a system of managing traction control, wheelie control and slide control based on the IMU (6-axis). Several riding modes enable the rider to adjust the power delivery and suspension according to ride conditions and preferences.
The large display is also made easy to read at very high speeds, so that riders have easy access to critical information when aggressively riding.
Norton Manx R Pricing and Expected India Launch
Norton has caught out many of its fans in the UK with its pricing. The Manx R offers a relatively pricey entry into the market, especially when compared to some of its European competitors.
The base price is approximately £20,250 or ₹25.97 lakh. The Apex variant is available for nearly ₹ 31.75 lakh, and the Signature one is available for nearly ₹ 49.70 lakh.
Due to its limited edition nature, the price of the limited First Edition model will be made available only by request. As TVS have now acquired Norton Motorcycles, the Indian enthusiasts are keenly awaiting news on its official launch in India. The Manx R, if introduced in the country, could be one of the hottest premium superbikes for performance enthusiasts.
This is Norton Manx R Feels Like Norton’s Real Comeback
The Manx R is a superbike and so much more. It is Norton’s bid to restore its reputation and make a confident comeback to the international performance bike scene.

The emphasis on emotional performance, usable power delivery, superior engineering, and cutting-edge technology has resulted in a Norton motorcycle that stands out from the pack in today’s superbike landscape.
The Norton Manx R would definitely be a dream machine for any rider looking for a motorcycle that offers a combination of speed, character, exclusivity, and road presence.
